Support Groups

Professionals in Recovery

The Professionals in Recovery support group is a confidential and judgment-free space designed for individuals in professional roles—such as healthcare providers, educators, first responders, business leaders, and others—who are navigating recovery from substance use, burnout, or co-occurring mental health challenges.


This group provides a safe and supportive environment to share experiences, discuss stressors unique to professional life, and build resilience through mutual support and guided discussion. Emphasis is placed on fostering accountability, self-compassion, and restoring purpose and balance in both personal and professional spheres.


Focus Areas:

  • Maintaining recovery while managing workplace responsibilities
  • Coping with professional stigma, shame, or fear of disclosure
  • Rebuilding self-identity and confidence in recovery
  • Mindfulness, stress reduction, and emotional regulation techniques
  • Healthy boundaries and relapse prevention strategies
  • Supporting one another through ongoing personal and career growth


Format:

Weekly, 60-minute virtual sessions facilitated by a licensed psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, who is also in recovery. Sessions combine open discussion, psychoeducation, and evidence-based recovery tools.


Who Can Attend:

Professionals in recovery from substance use or behavioral addictions, or those seeking support in maintaining mental health and balance while working in high-stress environments. All stages of recovery are welcome.


Goals:

  • Promote healing, self-acceptance, and peer connection
  • Provide practical strategies for long-term wellness and relapse prevention
  • Encourage professional reintegration and empowerment

Parents in Recovery

Parents in Recovery is a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental group created for mothers, fathers, and caregivers who are navigating the challenges of recovery while raising children. This group provides a compassionate space to share experiences, gain strength from others, and learn strategies to maintain sobriety and stability while building healthy family relationships.

The group recognizes that recovery is not only about abstaining from substances—it’s about healing, rebuilding trust, and creating a nurturing home environment. Each session combines guided discussion, peer support, and practical tools for parenting in recovery.


Focus Areas:

  • Managing stress, guilt, and shame in the recovery process
  • Reconnecting and rebuilding trust with children and family
  • Setting healthy routines and boundaries
  • Coping with parenting challenges without substance use
  • Fostering emotional resilience and positive communication
  • Supporting self-care and preventing relapse


Format:

Weekly, 60-minute sessions offered virtually. Facilitated by a licensed psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, each session blends education, mindfulness, and open discussion.


Who Can Attend:

Parents and caregivers at any stage of recovery who want to strengthen their sobriety, parenting skills, and emotional well-being. Participants are encouraged to share openly in a confidential and empathetic environment.

  • Enhance parenting confidence and emotional awareness
  • Promote long-term recovery and family healing
